03 Accord Coupe v6 -14.8MPG??
I recently got an 03 Accord coupe v6 a/t, and after a couple fill ups, I'm averaging 14.8mpg.. I'm about 50/50 hwy/city. I don't have a heavy foot either.. I looked on fuel economy . Gov and everyone is averaging 20+ mpg..
Any insight on what could be going on would be great!

I would pull a spark plug to see what kind of condition it is in.
Also, inspect the brake pads/rotors for unusual wear. You can test for a dragging brake by going on an open road. Accelerate to 30 mph then let the car coast to a stop without touching the brake pedal. Touch each rotor. If one is hot to the touch, then that could be the problem.

Another thing, does the check engine light turn on while driving? Or the D4 light start flashing? If so, have the codes read at a parts store and post the code(s) on here. They start with the letter P and have four numbers, like P1234.
More info: car is still completely stock. Stock Wheels, no subwoofers. Has newer tires, right pressure, had alignment done when I bought the car, so I know its not that.
Edit: I also do run ac all the time, Tx is hot! Also, I'm rarely stuck in stop and go traffic.
Also, no check engine light, or any other warning lights on.
Thanks, I'll check brakes in the morning, and plugs this weekend when I'm off. Hopefully its something simple. I had a tune up in the near future planned anyhow as no tellin when last one done. I'll probably go ahead and change plugs this weekend. Any certain plug that people suggest?

How many miles are on the car?
If you look in the owner's manual, it should tell you the maintenance interval for the plugs (probably every 110K miles with the iridium plugs).
Only use NGK IZFR6K-11. That is the same plug you would get at the dealership, but you should be able to find them at your local parts store. They will be around ~$10 a plug.

im just curious why you say "only" use that plug?
i run NGK Iridium IX annd the car loves it. comes factory gapped and never had a problem. ran them in my geo metro and sentra se-r as well as my v6 impala
that tune up should get u back to where ur mpg should be
distributor cap and rotor
plugs
fuel filter
air filter
fuel treatment
for peace of mind:
thermostat
belts
radiator hoses
radiator flush
trans fluid drain and refill(do not flush after 80k)
