03 Accord strange noise from sepentine belt area

Hi my 2003 Accord lx 4cylinder has now has a strange noise coming from sepentine belt area. I replaced the tensioner pulley but noise still there. I removed the serpentine belt again and noticed that the larger lower idler pulley wobbles (no sure if that's what it"s called). Is that normal. I can't see a screw to remove and replaced if it has a bad bearing. Is it safe to drive?

Thanks

I don't think there is an idler pulley on the serpentine belt. Could you post a picture showing the pulley?

PAhonda thanks for the reply, attached is the picture. Red arrow indicates the pulley that is loose or wobbles that I suspect the noise is coming from.

That is your water pump. That is important. Pay close attention to your temperature gauge in the car, because you do not want to overheat the car until this is fixed.

The water pump is #6 in the diagram.

What I'm I looking at to get this replaced. Is that had to replace?

Thanks

You should be able to drain the coolant, remove the belt, then unbolt the water pump. Installation is the reverse.

I am not sure how much room you have to access the bolts for the water pump. I never did this job on a K-series engine.

PA nailed it, the manual says the tensioner has to come off.

Thanks, it was the water pump. Nice and quiet now.
