03' wont start after getting gas
 

I have a 03' that doesnt want to start after getting gas. The car will only start if i give it gas and then it shakes and shutters. My check engine light is on and its only reading for the gas cap. The car has 68,000 miles.

Did you use a code reader to get that information?

They should give a code like P####, like P0430. Post the specific code on here and it may point to a different problem.

Are you in the habit of topping up the tank very full? It might be that you overfill & saturate the EVAP canister??
There's 2 different codes for the EVAP system and the gas cap is only one of many many possible problems.
