07 Accord Windows

Hi guys, I wanted to find out. I have a 07 accord, few months back the drive window opened and wont go back up- was told that the motor needed to be changed. Now from past few weeks the other three windows wont open, i can hear it click, but nothing happens. Once in a while it does open, but from past 2 weeks it just wont open. What do i do. Its not that the car is old, its less than 4 years old and all the windows are dead...can anyone help please...
thanks, Meg:confused:

I moved your post to this forum for help.

Suspect bad switches. Has someone spilled a soft drink on the switches? I've cleaned other brands of switches, but it is tedious, fine work. The switches contain small parts and require careful work to disassemble/reassemble. A used switch may be an option. Check ebay or car-part.com.

good luck

thanks for your response, I am kind of new at using this Form and stuff so Still trying to figure out how i check the messages. I dont know if the Switch is the problem. Because not only do the windows not open with switch on the door, but they dont open from the main door either. Also they dont open with the key remote...I dont know what to do, I can hear it clicking, but dont hear anything on the window---I dontknow how can three windows go out at the same time!

Thank you!

I misunderstood your problem. I will have to dig further into Honda Shop Manual for possibile causes.

Did you have the drivers door window motor replaced?

good luck

The problem may be your PW control unit was not reset after replacing a window motor. Try the following:

1) Turn ignition switch On
2) Move the drivers window fully down using drivers window switch
3) Open the drivers door
Steps 4-7 must be done w/i 5 secs!
4) Turn ignition switch OFF
5) Push and hold the drivers window DOWN switch
6) Turn ignition switch ON
7) Release the drivers window DOWN switch
8) Repeat steps 4-7 three more times!
9) Wait 1 second
10) Confirm Auto Up and Auto Down do not work. If Auto Up and Auto Down work, go back to Step 1
11) Move the drivers window all the way down by hold the DOWN switch to the Auto Down position
12) Pull Up and hold the drivers window UP switch to the Auto Up position until window reaches fully closed position, then continue to hold for 1 second.
13) Confirm the power window master switch is reset by using the drivers window Auto Up and Down functions.

If window still does not work in Auto, repeat the procedure several times paying close attention tot he 5 second time limit between steps. If it still does not work go to the B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

You need a shop manual if above doesn't work.

good luck

Hi--thanks so much for your detailed input. I just had the driver side window Motor replaced for about $400 bucks at Honda Delarship
Now from past few weeks the other three windows are acting up. They wont open with their individual switch &/or the main door switch. I will try what you said and see if that works...Thanks once again for all your input, I really appreciate it :)

You are justified to return car to Honda and tell them about the problem. You can site the shop manual instruction that reset procedure may need to be done several times.

good luck

My only problem is that everytime I take the car to them, they charge for something or the other. Just to even see what the problem is, they will charge :-(
