I need to tighten my e-brake under the center console. Car is an '08 EX-L Navi 4cyl with a 5 speed. Problem is that a have a gorilla (son) that drives the car and sets the e-brake like there is a prize for getting the handle as far up as possible! My guess is cable has stretched out a some. Any easy way to get into/under the center console to adjust it? Thanks in advance.

 

Emergency brake is easily adjusted, however console must be removed to access the mechanism.

Removal of console will require a shop manual or experience w/ this task. Not something that can be summarized in a short post. You can purchase a manual from helminc.com. Also try searching w/ google for guidance from others.
