09 PCM failure
With 40k miles on our very well kept v6 EXL the engine malfunction light came on. Had the codes checked at O'Reilly and showed P3400 and P2648. Had it checked out with one repair shop and two Honda dealers. The first dealer found the rear rocker arm oil control solenoid shorted out. They replaced the rocker arm oil control valve assembly performed reset but code returned when valve pause activated. Second dealer checked this and concurring with the other shops, recommended replacing PCM. They explained they had never seen a PCM fail and was their first. So now we wait for a new PCM loaded with the required software for our car. My question is, has anyone else had to replace the PCM Power Control Module because it failed?
