Hello All..I have been doing alot of reading concerning the fuel pump relay on a 89 honda accord lx 2.0, auto, carbed.. I have come to the conclusion that there are 2 different ones, but don't know which to buy. here are 2 pics of what I have read will fit.
I have been under the dash looking and have found the gray one mounted on the back of the fuse box, but cannot find the other one, so I'm guessing the 1st one is right for my car, cause I can't see or find another one. What do you all think?
I had to replace the fuel pump and found it straight wired.. I check the harness and it was getting no voltage, so I'm assuming the relay is bad and want to change it out so I can remove the hot wire running back to the pump..
Thank You and God Bless US All..John

Here is the site showing the MFR location. The 89 location is towards the bottom.

Honda Accord Main Relay Location

This may be for the fuel injected accords. Poorman212 is more familiar with these accords and will hopefully post on here.

The gray one is for the carb'd models (DX and LX).

The LXi's (Fuel Injected) take the second.

I'm a fan of testing things.....are you willing to do a bit of this before replacing the part?

The LXi is fuel injected......

It is way up there to the left of the steering wheel.

You might remove the "coin box" and look through there, you can then see it.....the fun is getting it out once you see it.

Can I ask what issue you are having and what testing you've done to confirm the relay is bad?
