1989 honda accord lowbeam problem

I just bought a 89 accord and can not get the lowbeams to turn on, headlights work when hooked to the battery, highbeams work when the switch is operated but the lowbeams do not, fuses are good. Any body know anything that it might be?

You probably have a bad wire or two in the wire harness that goes from your switch to the fuse box. Also check your combination switch assembly (its inside of your steering column)

Did you check visually both filaments in the bulbs? If both are still intact then you may have a bad contact on the headlight switch assembly. You can try pulling the assembly out and either replacing it or cleaning the contacts.

Both under dash fuses test good?

If there is a wire problem, the the wire harness at the headlight.....about a foot or so back, this is the point where it flexes as the headlights "pop" up/down.

Thanks for the replies, I will check all.

Okay, found out that I have no power to the lowbeam fuses under the dash, does anyone know is there is a relay or module somewhere under the dash that feeds the lowbeams? I jumpered power to them so I can get the car to pass inspection(yes the jumper wire has a inline fuse), but I need to fix it right.

Then you might have a bad light switch.....the Red/Wht wire from the switch sends the power to the low side fuses.
