1990 accord ex smog help

okay so im trying to get rid of my accord because it has been broken into so many times an my school stuff keeps getting stolen. but i need a smog check

anyways theres oil leaking through the distributor into the cap and on the tranny. but this only happens when the car is turned off when the oil leaks out i do not have money to buy a new one and my question is will they fail me for this oil leak?

thanks

You will have to ask the emissions place if that would be an issue.

There are two seals on the distributor. The o-ring will prevent oil from leaking down the side of the cylinder head. The grommet will prevent oil from leaking into the distributor.

You can replace both. The o-ring is simple. The grommet is more of a pain.

The cheaper alternative is to get a junkyard distributor or look on Ebay.
