1990 Honda Accord no spark
 

Please help, I have a 1990 Honda Accord that ran fine then died, I bought new spark plugs and plug wires and checked for spark but there is no spark, the timing belt is fine, I replaced the distributor and rotor still with no luck, I also removed the distributor cover and put a volt o meter on the coil spring and grounded the other wire and turned on the key and it read 12v, I'm confused, please help :)

Did the new distributor have a new ignitor?

You said that the coil had 12V on one wire. When you grounded the other wire, do you mean that you grounded the negative volt meter lead?

Do you have a 12V test light?

No it didn't come with an ignitor, is there a way to test this ignitor before I buy one ?

I put the positive lead from the volt o meter on the spring and the negative lead on a grounded bolt and when the key was turned on it showed about 12v on the meter.

If you have an AutoZone around where you live, take it off and take it to them..they can check it for you..Look for one of the people at the cointer who has a ASE button on his collar..
