Default 1991 Accord SW, Engine choices?

Hello all, I'm new to the forum, so if I screw up, be gentle.
I have a 1991 Accord SW with really bad engine trouble, will not turn over, oil runs out. What engines will interchange directly with this one? I realize a 1991 vintage engine is or would be best, but are there other choices? I'm in Alaska and don't have a good read on what is available. Thanks for any info and assistance.

CB7 Tuner Forums has tons of examples of engine swaps for 4th Gen cars.

Default Help with engine recognition.

1991 accord EX, with 213000 KMS.
Can someone please point me in the right direction as to what type of engine this is? And anything i should expect soon... as in things to replace. Most of the kms are driving from Montreal to Virginia Beach, and suburban driving by a man that is 95. one owner. If any advice is possible, i'd highly appreciate it.

Thank you,
Dimitri.

Got any maintenance records? It should've gotten a new timing belt every 100k miles so you really should find out about that. Get that done if you can't find out.

Other maintenance is in the owner's manual, and again if you can't find records it might make sense to just do everything so you KNOW it's up-to-date. Spark plugs, antifreeze, valve-lash, etc.

It's an F22-something. Look at the split-line between engine & transmission, about mid-elevation. On the engine block alongside that split, there's a flat surface with the block serial # stamped in it. Top line is the engine type, something like F22A1.
