Default 1991 cb7 project?

I currently have a chance to buy a 91 cb7 under $1500 with 170,000 on the clock the motor is an f22a4 with a pacesetter header. The interior is pretty clean for the age. The car needs some body work and tlc but I believe its an ex or exr model as it has the sunroof option. Car also has an r34 body kit but needs work. Do u guys think this is a worth while project? What is the average value of said car?

I wouldn't say its a great price, nor a bad price. To me personally the fact that it has a body kit makes it worth less to me. I think they are very ugly, so I'd have to spend money on factory parts.

I guess it would depend where you are located, I know around where I am Accords are a dime a dozen so I would keep looking.

$1500 for a cb7 with 170k...more like $800-900 TOPS.
Like Cam said the body kit would make me wanna pay LESS for the car. Since I would have to get a OEM bumpers and side skirts

for 1500 you could find a cb7 shell for like $300 then swap in a h22 and spend around $1200ish (if you shop around and really look) and have a much faster cb7 and better platform to start with for about the same price.

Well it is up to you.
Most of us here that like the older Hondas prefer them to be clean and all stock when we get them.
Most of the time when they have performance parts on them it means they were driven hard and likely abused.
I personally would not buy that car.

Body kit on a cb7 is fugly... Got my cb in decent shape, stock for 700$ a year ago with 190k... Your buying headers and a bodykit, on a 800$ car...

If u can get it all for a thousand, do it, have fun, and make it what u want it to be

so why did you ask?
You just wanted us to say it was a great deal and when we did not you just thought we must not know what we are talking about.
Just do what you want cause you know best already we are just a bunch of dumbasses.

Crispin, please tone it down a bit. Members gave their opinion, and Robert 1991 decided what was best for him.

Sounds like he got some repairs done to the car with a lower price, so maybe we did help.

you are right - my bad.

Sometimes it get frustrating when new members come here for advice and do the opposite of what is suggested.

Good luck with the car OP - post some pictures.
