Default Cluster connector for 90-91 SE

I personally own a ex with 225k miles that year and I'm sure more years has TCU problems and a weak spot in cluster! Well after a year and that darn sport shift thing screwing everything up I replaced the TCU! I did replace cluster but got wrong one! I am wondering can I just change a few wires and be ok? My temperature gauge is pegged out and fuel gauge is picky? My car been gone off and on for over a year! I'm a single parent need my car back! Can someone advise me! I'm personally not doing the work I'm middle man for my mechanic!
