1994 accord blinking d4
 

hello all, i have a 94 accord with a blinking d4 light and hard up shift in 1st gear pack(going from 0-20mph); also the engine revs ups between 3-4 then drops bak down after the hard jerking shift. this stumps me because I was told there was a rebuilt tranny and tcm purchased, also it is only going up but not down, and it is only in the first? gear.

The D4 light flashing means the TCU detected a problem and stored a code. Short the blue two-pin connector under the glove box using a piece of wire or a thin paperclip. Turn the key to the II position, then count the flashes from the D4 light.
