1994 Honda Accord EX A/T Turned the ignition and Just died completely

Techs-

Today in the morning, I turned the ignition on and was about to crank the car and it just died.

Everything disappeared, no turn signal, no lights, no radio, no power locks or windows, seems like a battery problem or a fuse or maybe something else?:confused:

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated:D

I would suspect ignition switch assy. Try turning switch on/off/on and see if lights come on and things work. If yes, replace switch assy. It's an easy repair. Check youtube videos for guidance.

good luck

Thanks for the advice and help.

So I tried today in the morning, lights do come on and radio/cd player also works if the Switch is at position 'I', if I move to 'II', everything disappears, another weird thing, when I turned the key in Ignition for the first time, everything was good till 'II', as soon as I tried to crank and put to 'III', car just dies and all the lights on the dash disappear too:(.

Do you think it's the ignition switch or any fuse/relay is blown?

Is there any preference, if I have to buy ignition switch or ebay/used is fine too?

Can I try cleaning it, if you think it's a good idea?

Looking and waiting for some help:confused:

Symptoms confirm ignition switch assy is fault.

I would replace ignition switch assy w/ new switch. Readily avaiable for $30 or so. Contacts are worn/burnt and generally can't be repaired. Not worth the effort IMO.

I've never heard of repairing a switch assy, but if you want to have a go, it might work. You can see the wear on part. I don't see how this could be repaired.

good luck

Thanks so much for your help and advice.

Actually you know what, ground cable on the battery was lose, used a cleaner, some sandpaper, tighten it up and 'Honey' fired right up :D

Thanks a ton for all of your help
