1994 Honda Accord overheats when stopped

I have searched but cannot find an answer to my 94 Accord overheating when at a stop. I have checked the radiator fluid and it looks full plus I just had an oil change and coolant was added at that time.

Start the car and turn on the a/c. Do both fans on the radiator work?

I got the same issue, my 1994 accord lx gets hot when at a red light or shortly after getting off the freeway. I got all new cooling system parts. The radiator coolant goes in to the overflow tank but does not return to the radiator

If the fans work what is the condition of the Radiator fins from the outside. Behind fans and other side. If it is covered in something wash it off. I think you have a aluminum rad. If it is cooper, fins turning soft green are an issue.

A/C fan is new last year, hoses, water pump, radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, are all new last February

Back to my original question.

When driving you have good airflow. When siting not so much and that is why PAhonda is asking about the fans and I am about the rad being clogged on the outside. My 95 used to get the rad clogged every year from something that grew on the property.

is it possible there's a blockage in the radiator? even with new parts, sometimes debris can cause issues. maybe a flush would help? what do you think about getting it pressure tested?

I'd check the radiator fins and the a/c condenser fins for debris/cloggs. You can use something like coil cleaner on the fins and use the light spray setting to rinse off the cleaner.

Check your local parts store for a radiator pressure tester as a loaner tool. You want to make sure your cooling system isn't leaking. You can also test the radiator cap with these kits. Just based on your description with how the overflow is behaving, you may just need a new radiator cap if you are not having to add more coolant to keep the system full.
