1995 2.2 AT Accord won't start
 

I have a 1995 accord with about 260K on it. Its been agreat car but things are starting to go wrong hopefully I can get some help on my starter issue.

I can not get the engine to crank, when I turn the key nothing happens no clicks or anything. Prior to this happening (the last couple of times i started it) ir cranked really slow like the battery was dying. The next time I tried to start it nothing happened. I tried to jump it but again nothing happened.

I put the transmission in neutral - nothing. I checked one of the relay/fuses (50A) under the hood(passenger side rear engine compartment) and it was fine. I looked at my chilton manual and it looks like there are a cople of other fuses/relays I have not checked them yet.

Has anybody run across this before? Any advice is greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance.

Sure sounds like the battery - however testing is needed. Do you have a volt meter - or can you pull the battery and take it to a parts store and have them test it.

If the battery tests fine - again with a volt meter check the voltage at the starter. The large cable should have battery voltage to ground. When trying to start the car the small wire should also have voltage to ground.

Let us know what you find.

Turns out I needed a new started. Thanks for the input. I'm sure I'll be looking for more advice in the future.
