1997 Honda Accord 4 cyl. and the radiator fan does not turn while the car is on
The fan turns on after I turn off the car and take the key out but when the car is on, the fan does not spin at all. I start to overheat when I'm at a dead stop. The cooling system has been burped and is full of coolant. Also, there are no signs of leakage. The fuse for the fan relay in the kick panel is good. What could it be?

It is likely a problem with temperature switch A. It is on the thermostat housing and has a green plastic electrical connector.
A quick test would be to turn off the car. Unplug that connector. Use a thin paperclip or a piece of wire to short the two wires of the electrical connector. Start the car and see if both fans run. |
