1st Brake Job
I need to do brakes on all 4 wheels of my low mileage wagon and I have 2 questions.
1) Does anyone have bad experience with the rotor-over hub conversion kit from TAS? 2) Do the rear rotors normally need turned, replaced or can I just measure and clean them? thanks for all opinions. this is the best car forum I've ever used |
I haven't had personal experience with TAS's rotor over hub conversion, but all the parts from them I have used have been good to go, so I would expect the same.
With rotors being as cheap as they are I usually just replace them. |
1) I have no idea myself.
2) I turn my rotors every time I do a brake job, sometimes I just replace them. Wearever from Advanced auto seems to be a great brand. |
I'm new to the Honda world but I can't count how many brake jobs I've done in my life but; not cutting your rotors and utilizing new pads is like taking a shower and not changing your underware. I'm impressed with Live2Rice's comment about the cost of rotors being affordable. Two things I believe, Live2Rice knows what he writes about and if you learn 1 thing a day, you'll be a pretty smart camper :)
