2000 Accord LX acceleration

Hi guys, I have a problem with my car. Yesterday I was going on the on ramp and floored the gas but the car didn't go fast only went about 20mph and then when I release the gas pedal the RPM shoot up to 5000 RMP and just revving.

Honda dealer replace the transmission about a year now due to recall. I haven't cleaned or replaced any parts except for the periodic oil change, transmission fluid, timing belt and water pump.

Could it be a dirty fuel filter? Or a dirty throttle body? Please help. Thanks much!

In USA you don't have a normal fuel filter, so that's not it. Only a fine mesh screen/bag inside the fuel tank which doesn't get routine replacement.

Dirty throttle body maybe?? Pretty easy to remove the air intake duct & check/clean out the TB.
