2000 Accord occasional hot start problem
Occasionally, if I try to start my car after driving for a while, it won't start and I hear a single click (not like the multiple clicks of a dead battery). I read somewhere that this is due to a connection problem in the main relay but I'm not sure because it still starts when jumped. There is some corrosion on the battery connections but I don't think that would cause the problem to only happen after the car has been running. I need to fix this ASAP so any help would be much appreciated.

Does the starter spin the engine at all? Or does nothing happen when you hear the click?

Is your Accord a 4 or 6 cylinder?
Here is a Honda technical service bulletin for the Accord V6: Honda TSB 00-024 |
If the starter doesn't spin the engine, then its not related to the main relay.
You might have loose/dirty/corroded battery connections, maybe even at the other ends of the battery cables. |
