2000 Accord SE 4dr Timing Belt...

I just had my timing belt changed (I am at 97000km = 57000 miles) , and there was a sound coming from the engine like a light whine, got louder and higher in pitch as the rev's moved up. (the sound was apparent when at idle, its a 5sp)

I took it back to the garage and had them look at it, turns out it was too tight, they put a new one on and loosened the new one.

But still there is a SLIGHT whine from 1000 - 2000 RPM, then it seems to dissapate, not as noticable as the first time, but its still there. The whine gets higher in pitch from 1000 RPM to 2000 RPM.

Is this normal? Is there a break-in period for timing belts? Not sure if i want to go back to that mechanic if I need to get it modified again. I just want to know if there is anything wrong with a highpitched noise from 1000 RPM to 2000 RPM.

Thanks alot!

-Robb.

PS: I would also like to add another concern of mine, while breaking in the oil change (done with the timing belt) I accidentally shifted from 3rd gear to 2nd (instead of 4th) and it was reving at about 7000RPM (1000rpm past the redline) I was gunning it pretty good. My accord will be ok right? I am assuming it will be...just need some reasurance (no strange noises became of that little mistake).
