2001 accord odometer light out

I have a 2001 Honda AccordLX , 4 door, auto, 4 cylinder.

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace a faulty odometer light? All other lights such as the speedometer, tachometer lights are ok. I can only see the odometer in the daytime. Anyone have this issue before ? My local honda dealer wants $45 plus the price of the bulb.
Thank you - bpIII

It's not that difficult to replace any of those bulbs back in the dash but it can be time consuming. It's a lot of stuff to take apart to get the instrument cluster out to access the bulbs. I'd recomend getting a manual before you try it in order to make sure you get out all the screws. Someone else that's more farmiliar with this site may know where you could download a manual.
I speak from experience, I cracked the knee panel underneath the steering wheel on my wifes 01' Accord because I missed one screw.

The 6th gen gauge cluster is a piece of cake to get out. There are two screws holding the oval shaped piece of plastic in front of the cluster on the top. Snap that out of place and then its just 4 bolts/screws holding the cluster in and 3 wire harnesses. The odometer bulb is the one in the bottom center and the Honda dealer should have a very cheap bulb that will actually fit better than the auto parts store.

Thats a trip. When I cracked that knee panel in my wifes 01' I was working on something else. I just assumed there was more to it based off all the work it takes to get the cluster out of my 96', which starts all the way at the center consel if I remember correctly. That's good to know.

So is it the same to get the AC/Heater controls out? My wifes heater speed knob bulb is out.

Yeah the 5th gen dash is a PITA to work on since nearly all of it has to come out to get to the gauges.

Your wifes trim around the radio needs to come out, and the heater stuff is attached to the back of it. Pry out the clock, take out the screw behind it. Then, on the bottom of that trim panel there are 2 more screws. After that just slowly start pulling it from the bottom to undo all the clips.
