1999 Honda Accord 3.0 oil sending unit
Has anyone replaced the oil sending unit on a 99 Accord 3.0 V-6? If so; How is the best way to replace it? Any advice and replies would be appreciated?

I never did this on a V6 accord, but did it on a 4-cylinder. The hardest part was removing the rubber boot from the connector that had hardened to almost plastic. Not sure if the 99 has the single wire connector like my old 95 accord or a 2 wire connector.
The next part is to unscrew the pressure switch. Clean up the oil around the area. The older accords said to use a bit of RTV on the threads to help seal. Don't see those instructions in the 99 shop manual. Then you thread in the new pressure switch. Don't put too much force to tighten as you can twist and damage the unit and cause an oil leak. You can check the old pressure switch to see if any sealant was used on the threads.
