2002 keyless entry help
a long time ago my battery on my remote was dying. It was getting less responsive to further ranges and what not. I replaced the battery and the remote stopped working.
Flash forward to today. Today i realized this thing has to be reprogrammed so i followed the instructions listed here: http://www.handa-accessories.com/crv/KEYLESSPROG.pdf Anyways, i cant get it to work for the life of me. I know the remote is getting power because if i press the "unlock" button the light will stay on solid red for a long time or until i remove the battery for a while. whats going on with this thing? |
I don't know what's going on with the remote, but those instruction match what I got from the Helm book. They've worked for me on a couple Hondas.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery from the car and the key fob, then reprogramming?

no i have not disconnected the battery and what do you mean "key fob" . You are probably referring to something simple but i guess im just being dumb today lol |
That's okay! Your "key fob" is your "remote".
Try disconnecting both batteries, then reprogramming. Let me know! |
You need to have the remote close to the sensor when you program it. I believe it is behind the glove box. Just had to go through the same thing with my Odyssey
