Question 1998 Accord 4dr 4clyd lx fuel filter?

I have a accord that keeps getting the p1399 code misfire. I have changed the plugs, distribuer hardwarer and wires. This all started when I put Premium fuel in by mistake... I think i got bad fuel.. I recently had to redue my generator tank because it got water in the tank when I put premium in along with fuel stabilizer. They just do not check tanks like they used to.. I have a "shop" manual but it does not show the fuel filter location??? Does any one know where it is ..does it have one??

Thanks,

Al

I think there is only a filter inside the tank on the fuel pump.

What "shop" manual do you have?

That is pretty low mileage.

The Haynes manual should tell you to remove the fuel return hose on the rail to drain the tank. If not, the online shop manuals link in the common diy threads on top of this forum has a 98-00 shop manual that you can download. It will have that information.

premium octane will not hurt your car. it actually recommends 91 or higher ron rating.

94-97 the fuel filter is located on the driver side firewall under the brake master cylinder.

they may have changed the setup in 98-02

Default Bad Fuel

Well, after pulling out my hair and a few other things I decideed to pull the fuel pump and screen........... Well, it is like I thought there was rust water and sludge in the tank about 3 gallons of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never buy from that F**KKKKKing station again. The screen was pluged and the pump was shot! I would just give enough fuel to just run the car at a constant low speed ..........

Thanks for the help!
