2004 EX Tail lights don't work

Have 2004 EX V6, tail lights won't work. Everything (front parking lights and etc) else does work. Have changed fuse and bulbs, no help.

Believe there might be a relay that I might check?, but is it behind the driver's or passenger's kick panel (or somewhere else)- and if so, how do I remove the kick panel?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Get a volt meter. Unplug taillight bulb. Not sure about your wire colors, but one wire should have 12V when you probe to ground. The other should have continuity to ground.

Its a simple test to figure out which side of the circuit is causing problems.

underhood fuse box chk fuse # 4 15 amps if fuse is ok,, could be a bad tail lite relay located in same fuse box

Problem solved

Thanks for the replies --- problem solved, though.

Wasn't my car and I was the third to try to fix it before we took it to the shop. The first to work on it replaced the bulbs (and we all knew they had been replaced - so we didn't worry about them) but put in the wrong ones.

The shop, after looking at everything else, found that the problem was the bulbs and replaced them - it worked!

We'll know better next time.
