2004 Washer Pump Replacement
I have a 2004 Accord. The washer pump quit out of the blue.
I checked the fuzes but they were all good. I was hoping I could get a description of where the pump is and how to get to it? |
It's not that easy. Here's what manual says.
1) Remove righter inner fender (20-211) 2) Disconnect washer tube and washer motor connector. 3) Remove clip, 3-bolts, and remove the washer reservoir Pump is at base of reservoir 4) install in reverse. I would suggest purchasing a Honda Shop Manual if you intend to DIY. Make sure you can hear the pump running on command. Some times the washer nozzles block preventing flow. Easily cleaned w/ small wire and vinegar soak. good luck |
Thanks for the feedback.
There is no pump sound actually. Just the sound of the wiper motor now. This sounds like a job I may just take to the shop. |
Good job to tackle to get into the swing of easier jobs to come to you and your car.
Give it a try if you have the time..it's very satisfying when you get it done to say " I did It MYSELF" :) |
