2005 Accord EX Power Seat Recliner Loose
 

I have a 2005 Honda Accord EX with full power seats. The front driver seat back feels real loose. Like if you slam on the brakes it will move forward about an inch and then drop back down to where it was. The actual seat doesn’t move, its just the seat back, the part that reclines. It feels like some gears are loose or something. When you recline the seat it takes a little bit before it actually grabs and begins to move. Anyone have these issues and have a fix? Thanks!

You may have to pull the back cover off of the seat and start pushing on the back of the seat and identify where you have that play. If I had to guess, I would say one of the three electrical motors is shot, but please verify the location of the movement.

the seat back is actually off...and when you push on the back of the seat it moves forward and backward thats where the play is. its in the seat back support.
