2006 Accord Electric Door Lock Issues
My '06 Accord has electric door locks and keylessentry. Recently, I had the following problem:
-When I double click the open button on the transmitter to open all the doors, only the driver door is opening. This is happening with all three of our transmitters. So, I've ruled out a faulty transmitter. -If I have the key in the ignition (doesn't matter what position the key is on in the ingition) and I open the front driver's door and then close it, all the doors automatically lock. If I close any of the other doors, this does not happen. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this might be? Thanks. Rob |
Did you ever find a way to fix this issue?? I also have a 06 accord that recently started to have the same problem and it is driving me insane!

It usually is a problem with the under-dash MICU (Multiplex Integrated Control Unit). That MICU is integrated into the fuse box. Honda had a service news article regarding it before.
If it required replacement, the entire interior fuse box on the driver side is replaced. Only two bolts hold the fuse box in (one bolt at the bottom and one bolt at the top left of the fuse box). You have to transfer the relays and fuses to the new one. Honda does not recommend using pliers to remove the relays, as you can damage the relays that way. You can try a battery cable reset (to reset the multiplex control system) by disconnecting the negative and positive cables and connecting them together with a jumper wire for 15 minutes. -- Do not touch the battery terminals. https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...ine=1411506130 |
