Default Is 2007 Accord VP Worth It?

So I am looking at a used 07 Accord VP with AT and ~150K miles. Transmission has been replaced by the PO at ~110K miles.

I have read a lot of good reviews about 06/07 Accords, but wanted to see if I be paying special attention to anything?

Are there any notorious suspension components which I should be specifically checking? Is transmission a weak link? I plan to do 3x3, immediately after acquiring and will check color of the ATF fluid and car shifting during the test drive too.

Thanks for any help and feedback

The 03-07 accords were pretty solid. From my experience on here, they don't have the transmission issues compared to the 98-02 which was the previous generation. The suspension is something you should inspect and replace parts only when needed.

I'm surprised that the Trannie had to be replaced at only 110k miles. Surely that's been mistreated, it should last MUCH longer shouldn't it?

Yeah, I was super surprised about tranny being replaced. Does it mean I should stay away from it or at least go and test drive it?

Also, if it's built right, will last a lot longer, ideally or no?

Understand, planning to check all window switches and locks.

Are bearings a weak component or not really?

So overall these engines(cars) are solid and as long as things check out, should be good, yeah?

I'm sure others who are more experienced can also advise, but my '04 has clocked up around 280,000 miles, has only had 2 trans oil changes, and has never missed a beat, still perfect.

AC Controls
AC controls look weird, along with a aftermarket head unit.

Is that a concern or not at all?

These cars for the most part are solid. You can expect to change all fluids especially since the first tranny went out so early (that means the car was not being taken care of). When test driving it put some power to it to make sure the tranny is good. Check to make sure the heat and a/c is working. With the a/c is on flip the modes to make sure the actuators are working. Look for leaks and that's about it. At 150k there are things that has started breaking down. You can tackle those parts one by one (worse to bad). Usually when I purchase a used vehicle. I replace the thermo, belt, plugs and hoses if they look bad.

The radio is an after market if you are good with it in and it work then keep it. If not just find a used OE and put it back in. On these cars there are issues with the radios and I'm assuming that's why they replaced it. I fixed mine then opted to upgrade to the Honda Navi version.
