Default 2008 Honda Accord EX Alarm/Keyless Entry System is Malfunctioning

My stock alarm/keyless entry system seems to be malfunctioning. It's been this way for about three months now, ever since I took to an EZ Lube. Sometimes my system will not lock, and most of the time my system will only lock but the alarm will not arm. The car will usually unlock, but in the past couple of days the system won't even do that. I highly doubt it's the keyfob, and I even tried the backup keyfob and the system exhibits the same problem. Any idea of what this could be? Does anyone think I can get this fixed without going to the dealer?

A weak battery can cause strange problems. Have the battery tested at a parts store.

Stop at An AutoZone and have your battery checked and they can also check your key fob for you while there..

Agreed. There have been a bunch of people that claim the battery on their 8th generation Accord already needed replacement.
