2008 Honda Accord v6. ABS/ VSA lights
Both the VSA and ABS lights have been on for months. Don’t remember when they turned on, haven’t noticed anything weird while driving. Code 66-1 came up but I’m getting mixed info on what that is. Any info/tip would be helpful. Is this fixable at home or should I let the dealership handle it? |
VSA & ABS both use the wheel-speed sensors. I don't have the error-code list, but if that code is for a wheel sensor that would explain both.
IF its a sensor there's a few things you can do. - Look for wiring problems like cut or pinched wires from the sensor - If you can take apart brakes/hubs, check the sensor itself for magnetic crud buildup on the sensor. - Measure electrical resistance vs. a value that it should be (anyone have a 2008 shop manual?) |
