Hello, I've browsed these threads countless times over the last couple years and it's been a major help, I thank you all. But I'm in a situation that I can't find a straight answer to.

I drive a 2010 Accord LX 2.4L K24Z2 and I recently was hit by a gang of wild horses. 3 to be exact, and they lit me up like a firework. My entire subframe is tweaked, the air bags never deployed. My driver side strut tower is shifted. I've gone thru the whole front end retorqued every bolt I could get my wrench on. I drive 60+ miles daily for work so I'm currently looking for another vehicle.

My question is, the motor and transmission are fine. No slips, leaks or overheating. I am planning on getting another 2010 if I can find one for a good price that way If the motor or transmission goes out I will have a back up. I'm not having the best of luck finding another LX, but I see a lot of LX-P and EX-Ls. So my question is would one of the other 8th gen model accords be a drop and go?
I found a 2010 LX but a V6, it has high miles so I would drop the motor and transmission when the time comes. Would the 2.4L motor and transmission be a straight fit with little to no modifications?

 

The V6 would not be a straight swap. The other 4-cylinder vehicles should be a straight swap for the block and transmission. You might need to swap the intake or some sensors depending on your new vehicle, but the physical 2.4L block should be the same on the same generation.

Go to hondapartsnow.com and look at the OEM part number for your vehicle's engine block. Then look up the OEM part number for the replacement vehicle to be sure.
