7th gen: Heat for back seats?
 

For some reason I hate heat in my car. It gets hard for me to breath thus makingme uncomfortable. Problem is: my rear seat passengers usually are really cold whenever I am 'comfortable'.

So, I was thinking... if there is room for a small duct to go through the console (from under the dash to the back of the actual console) thenI could heat the back seat better without sufficating myself.

I would need to know a few things first, which is why I am posting this. I need to know: if there is room for a duct; where this duct could be attached to the factory 'ductwork' when set to 'floor heat'.

Plan B: if no room for a duct, could Isafely run a duct under the car and reenter in the rear?

Any and all ideas please.:D

so....when its really cold outside, you never turn the heat on? i just wouldnt ride with you. sorry, i have nothing worthwhile to add to your request.

sorry guys i was w/o internet for a while. yes im in kentucky. yes it gets cold here. but i guess im hot natured. in the house, im perfectly okay with 68* on the tstat lol. anywho i think the backseat gets overlooked in so many areas including heating and cooling. i just thought it'd be cool (and fun) to plumb some heat back there.

i suppose if you bought some of that flexable tubeing you could run it through the center console and out the ash tray in the back? I dont know if there would be enough room to get it around the shifter though (hence the flexable tubeing)

That would make it colder in the back seat.
If I were you, I would just run some flexible ducting from the floor heat outlet, then go underneath the front seats to the back. Of course, it wouldn't bee too hidden cause you'd see it on the floor, but it would be easily removeable in the summer.
Personally I would tell the people in the back seat to quit whining. If they are cold, they should wear more clothing. If they were important, they would be in the front seat where the heat is (haha jk.)
I am hot natured too. I rarely ever run the heat in my Accord cause it gets so hot so fast.

why not install electric heat pads for the rear seat??? I'm sure there's a kit out there.
