Default Oil Leak

Leaking engine oil right up above the dipstick and coming down around the dipstick and dripping into my alternator but I only notice a pool of oil on first start of my car after it has been sitting a while... 196,000 miles on my car.. thanks to home health nursing..Help please... everyone has been jerking me around.. 😣🙁😢

Confirm your year/engine. I moved your post for better responses.

Oil leaking from dipstick could be result of excess oil level or blocked PCV.

It could also be coming from a leaking valve cover and running down the side and just pooling there. With the age of these cars, anything is possible.

Until we know what kind of car you have, the model year, and what engine is in it, there really isn't any help we can offer.
