89 honda accord flooding problem

I have a 89 that is flooding. As soon as I turn the car on gas is just pouring into carb through the 2 tubes coming out of top of carb. I have no idea what is wrong. Please help.

Carburated, right?

Float bowl fill valve stuck open? Float punctured & sank?

So gas is pouring out the same vents it nomally sprays ouy of? Sounds like the float valve is not closing off. What is the fuel level in the carb bowl-sight glass on side of carb-look from the drivers tire at the side of the carb with the air cleaner base off. You might have to pinch off the fuel line to allow it to drop-if totally full it will be hard to see.

If so, not too bad of a job to change-can be done while the carb is on the car-guess how I would know that ;). I did it one evening after work and still caught the late news. Let me know if you are going to do this as there is a bit of a trick in getting the float out of the way so you can change the needle and seat (valve) to the float.

Would like to confirm that is where it is coming from as there are one or two other things that it could be.
