90 Accord EX UAT Door Lock Control Info

Finally decided to find out why my daughter's 90 Accord EX (4 door) doors will unlock, but not lock. The car has a United Automotive Technologies Door Lock Control Unit (P/N 601-0600-201). Not sure if this is OEM or not but the female side of the 12 pin connector is not around any more and the wires are attached directly to the unit. (ugh!)

One wire is disconnected (black/white stripe) and I'm not sure where to attach it. There are 4 pins open. Can anybody tell me the pinouts for that UAT unit? Or post a photo of the 12 pin connector for that unit with all the wires attached? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if the UAT is the OEM control unit.

The link to the 91 shop manual that I posted in the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section will have the pin-out information. The 90-93 accords are similar.

You may want to pick up the wire harness and/or an OEM control unit from a junkyard, since it sounds like someone directly wired everything up in your daughter's accord.

Thanks for the quick reply. Checked the manual (which is awesome!) but the UAT unit seems to have a few more wires connected to it than the manual diagram. The wires that are in the same position are Yel/Red, Blk, Wht/Red, and Wht but I don't see Green/Red and Green/White and my disconnected Black/White in the diagram. Of course who's to say the wire colors will match too. For sure someone has been messing around with the lock unit connectors. It would be helpful to know that expected input for the unit (e.g. pin 1 is power, pin 2 is grnd, pin 3 is Driver lock +, etc). Am checking the junkyards too but so far no 90-93s.

I don't know why your wire colors are not matching up exactly. You may have to trace the extra wires to see where they originate or were spliced in.

Was a key-less remote or an alarm system ever hooked up to the car? That might explain the discrepancy and why work was done on that control unit.
