91 accord shut off while driving

I was just driving my car, going about 35-45 mph, not exactly sure how fast I was going at the time. But basically it just shut off, the lights and dash stayed on, but I couldn't use my gas and the power steering went out. I pulled over and restarted the car and it started up just fine and drove for another 2 miles without any problems. Anyone know what could cause this?

A few things to test.

Could be something in the dist.....ICM.

Next, could be the electrical part of the key switch.

what exactly is the electrical part of the key switch? is there a certain name for it?

Most call it the ignition switch - just you do not need/want the lock cyl and key.
