92 Accord Lx Auto Trans Problem

My girlfriend has a 92 accord lx with an auto and she called me this morning and said she's got a problem with it. Seems it won't shift automatically, but she can shift it manually. I think she's hoping it's on it's way out so she can buy this jeep she's been wanting...

Any ideas? I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, so I can't offer things in detail yet. Thanks for the help in advance.

Sounds like it might be a solenoid since I couldn't get it to do it again. No worries though, she's getting her jeep tommorow or sunday. She's had it with her honda. I don't get, but she just doesn't care for her car anymore.

nope, no new ones here. 2002 wrangler x. the plastic windows are all scratched up, but she wanted it. It also makes this great transmission sound (sounds like a bearing. Kind of a grinding sound) when you shut off the motor with the clutch out in neutral. Fun fun.

lol.....hey if she breaks those front ball joints apart make SURE she does not drive it at all until they are fixed. i had a friend that did that and the thing rolled right over on her.
