Default '92 EX, 4-CYL, 2.2L intermittently dies at intersection

I have about 230k on my 2.2L Accord. I recently did a tune-up (I don't know if this would be the culprit), had a couple experiences where I am city-driving (continually stop n' going, 35 mph tops) and had my car die at an intersection or when I make a complete stop. My idle goes real low to eventually dying altogether. Is it the fuel pump or a vacuum leak? Or is it something different?

I can't stand this problem. It's embarrassing. I hate getting behind the wheel all paranoid thinking my car will die at any given stop. I only notice it's during city driving though. Say for instance I get on the highway, add more acceleration--it doesn't do it. Also I noticed my car won't die at a stop if I let it warm-up for a considerable amount of time.

Troubleshooting this problem is hard. I don't think it's the fuel pump otherwise it would have died already (going on for a couple months). Could it be cheap gas (I usually get it at Casey's--aka a ****ty chain in the Midwest)?

Welcome new member!

You could try different gas station, or put a bottle of Techron or similar stuff in the gas tank.
How about the normal tune-up stuff, like spark plugs?

But probably what you need to do is clean the throttle body, clean the IAC valve & FIT valve, & properly set the BASE idle. Search for "BASE idle", I've written instructions several times.
