92 honda accord 2.2l auto. Accerator sluggish when in gear.
I have an 92 honda accord 2.2l F22A6 with auto. Engine runs fine. I just did a full front timing change and yes it's on the money. It revs up really good in park and nuetral. When in gear, it's sluggish when I accerate. Tranny shifts up on its own like it should. Weather manual shift or automatic. Little green lite around D4 is solid indicating NOT in limp mode. Fluids are new and at the proper level. Before the timing change it was in limp mode. It has a brand new distributor, timing kit, and water pump. I'm trying to get rid of the sluggishness any and all help is appreciated.

I'm just internet guessing here, are these fluids Honda brand fluids? Lot of forum talk here about the importance of using Honda fluid in the Honda auto trannies - but I recall it's more for durability reasons. I have the same year car, even still it's a good car, but mine's a 5 spd. |
When I start going down the road it really sluggish then it picks up and goes down the road good but still has a really bad lag of the throttle.

Thanks all I got it fixed. Apparently I needed to put a jumper in to time it lol

That's right, same for the 95 Integra I had. Jumper the SCS connector to prevent the ECM from adjusting the timing while you're trying to adjust it to the "base" value.
