'92 rear passenger steel brake line

Hi,

I have a leak. I've done the search and have found: (1) this is pretty much an awful job, and (2) the line is one-piece from the valve to the wheel.

Well, I'd appreciate hearing from someone who has done the job on a +/- '92 Accord. Hints?

I'd especially like to hear from someone who used the Honda brake line and someone who used off-the-rack universal lines.

What parts did you need to drop to do the job? Anything unusual you ran into? Thanks,

Roy

I was away from the car for several weeks...and, now I am back at it.

It now seems: (1) the OEM line is discontinued, and (2) the OEM line runs above the gas tank. So, I would still like to hear from anyone who has replaced the line. Especially for someone using non-OEM lines routed somewhere other than the above-the-tank route,

Thanks,

Roy

OK,

FWIW, I did the job and just got a Maine safety inspection. I used universal pre-flared brake line and did a re-route job which avoids dropping the tank (the line now goes aft of the gas tank).

I have pics and something of a write-up. Anyone wanting a copy can e-mail me.

Sounds good. Sorry nobody replied, but I guess nobody's had to do this by themselves.

If you want to post a bit of a write-up, I can move it into the DIY area.
