93 & 97 same tranny issue ?!?!Selenoid B ?

Purchased the 97' Honda Wagon UEX in Feb. 11'. Approx. 6-8 wks. later D4 't move on the counsel starts flashing when driving, or starting car. It does not do this everytime, just ocassionally. By June , I am having to shift manuelly shift the car to go to the D4 position. I also, noticed a slip in the tranny sometimes. My husband did take teh Selenoids OFF AND cleaned it out. The car seemed to work good for a week or so after it was done each time. Finally, the cleaning trick no longer worked. I loaned it to a family member in November , 24 hours after loaning it to them, it didn't move anymore. I have a good idea they was simply a moron and tried to hot rod the car, not sure. Lesson learned. We did order 2 different sets of Selnoids for the car and each time we put one on , it would seem like it wanted to move and actually did for a very short trip down the road. Then it wouldn't move any more. It hasn't moved in several months. ALSO, forgot, I noticed a pattern the the tranny and the D4 acted up more when it was wet outside.

THEN- we purchased a 93' Honda accord wagon , for a work car for my husband, $1000 work car to put 100 miles on daily. Purchased in Jan 2012. Last wee, the husband turns car on after work one day, and his D4 starts flashing!!! So he turned off car and it hasn't done it since. It also doesn't seem to have a slip at all. ..

I'm wondering if : 97' could just have a bad tranny, a bad computer in the floor or were just getting BUNK parts?
or :
If the 93' tranny is exchangable with the 97' tranny?

sorry to confuse anyone. I just want to get my wagon back, I have a bimmer and would like for it to sit and not be ran all over everyday. The reason why I even bought the wagon was for my every day driver. The 97' has an excellent body, excellent interior..very , very nice car for the age ..and it's the super cutest, my husband thought I was nuts when I wanted a wagon, but I LOVE IT!!! lol

If the D4 light is flashing, check the transmission for codes. See the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help for checking engine codes. The same procedure is used for checking transmission codes, except you count the D4 light. Post the codes you find on here.

These sound like non-US accords. That common diy thread has a link for shop manuals that you can download. In the US, the 94 accord is almost identical to the 97.
