94 accord 2.2 auto trans 4dr

I put a junkyard trans in and am trying to adjust tv cable because it shifts hard and there is no slack in cable to start adjusting from.is it possible that the trans I put in had different arm which requires longer cable? Because you have to pull arm up couple inches just to get cable on and there's a lot of pressure already on it ? It's already like half way up ?

Please do not post questions in the DIY Section.

I've moved this to General Tech.

See if this will help, if not let us know.

The adjustment is way off .I have to pull arm up almost all the way just to put cable in arm .it's like the cables to short because the adjustment starts with arm halfway up with cable all the way down ?

So lock nut "A" is threaded all the way up the cable? Got a pic of the cable end?

Do you still have the old transmission? Compare the two arms. Ditto Poorman's request: pic's would be nice.

The more slack in the cable, the harsher the shift, so it may not be the cable causing harsh shifts. Are the NM & NC speed sensors clean?
