94 Accord Help

We just picked up a 94 Accord EX in good shape for $3600.00 with 152K the interior and exterior is in great shape, but there are a couple issues, the driver side door window is slow to roll up, and the previous owner said that she had to add brake fluid every 4 or five months. How tough is it to get into the door panel to take a look at the regualtor? I figure it may need some lube on the track or maybe somehtings binding it up, or should I just have a new regulator on hand before I tear into it? The brakes I may just take it down to honda and have them check it out, it seems to brake normal, I may snoop around and see if I can tell where its going. What other things should I look for that go wrong with this year of Honda? This looks like a great board and I'm sure I'll have a few more questions later. thanks....

I hear ya...my windows on my driver and passenger side are both like a turtle when it comes to getting them back up. They go down fine, but getting them to come back up can be about a minute plus project. Sometimes reving up the engine will get them to move a little quicker but not much. You would think they either work or they don't. I can't wait myself to see an answer to this problem!!! BTW...my car is almost like yours (94 Accord Lx)

the motor is going out in your accord. and hell no to the idea of it just working or not. im glad honda made it that way. with a damn nissan the motors will just go out. its easy to get into the door, the motor/regulator is one unit. it unplugs and unscrews and comes right out. so easy compared to a chevy or something where you have to drill out those cheap *** rivits.
On the window do as 98accrd said. Put the window down and spray some Silicone wet type into the track on either side of the window. Wipe the channel with a rag. It will be black. Do this a couple of times then just spray some in the channel and run the window up and down several times. This should be done a couple times a year to your windows as preventative maintenaince. The window should move better. If it is still a little slow the regulator is worn out. It is not to bad to replace.

Thanks guys I tried the silicone trick, it helped it come up and down but it still sticks every so often, I was checking ebay for the motors, there 36 bucks on there plus shipping, has anyone tried one, or am I better off getting OEM? Also I was thinking of buying a set of the kool looking tailights, is there a brand I should stick with, I really don;t want any leakers. Maybe a headlight kit. I just want to freshen the car up a bit, not pimp it out. lol
do not buy the motor yet,, try spraying some wd40 in the channels ,, roll window down and spary WD40 starting at top of channel and let gravity push it all the way down the channel...
Most of the times when they are slow ,it is dirt in the run channels,, i think a motor would be a waste of money and time

Listen to the desert man. I sprayed WD40 in all my channels this morning. Let it setup for about 5 minutes, then ran the windows up and down. They all worked a hell of alot better. Before it was literally taking a good 20 seconds to a minute to get a window back up, and sometimes i had to revve up the car to get the windows up. I still think the drivers side is going to need a new regulator one day soon (it makes weird noise!!! LOL) but hey, I can wait for that day now! Thanks Desert!

Yeah mine helped also, thanks Does anyone have any input on what tailights to buy? Also I noticed my cruise control don't work, it lights up on the switch but don't engage. and when I lock my car with the remote it wants to click like 20 times before locking.... other than these little problems I like the car.
