94 accord lx idle surge
 

Hey everyone im new to the honda world and i have a little issue i would love some in puts on. I have already did some research about the idle surge im having it only happens when the car is cold thats it i pulled the throttle body and cleaned it but im still having the same issue surging when cold when it warms up it idles around 600 give or take so if any one could help that would be great.

Clean and tighten FITV valve. See the DIY for some pictures.

thanks for the help the surge has stoped but now when cold it idles at 1500 and slowly goes down as the engine warms up is that fine or do i need to do something else

That sounds about right, my 95 does the same thing. Which means it is either normal or we both have an issue that I never knew about...lol. It should drop to ~750 rpm's when warm/normal temp.

Fast idle when first started cold, then gradually dropping to normal as the engine warms up? That's exactly what it's supposed to do.
