94 honda accord won't start
I have a 1994 honda accord and when it's wet out or
Snowing and cold it will crank but not start. Imy thinking of changing the coil pack but don't want to spend the money unless I have a good idea if that is going to fix the problem. I appreciate any help I get. |
Before changing parts, do some testing. Use a spark tester to verify you are not getting spark. Check for engine codes. Listen for the fuel pump to prime when you turn the key to the II position but do not try to start the engine.

You can simulate wet conditions by spraying wires and distributor w/ fine water spray (generously). View at dusk or night when spark jumping will be clearly visible. Likely spots are spark plug connectors, supports, distributor cap, or possibly inside distributor (rotor).
If you have an external coil, the spark lead ends and coil are also likely spots. good luck |
