94honda accord rev issue

Ok so i have a 94 honda accord lx non-vtec f22b2 that wont rev pass 4k i search everywhere and i've changed the ecu, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plugs wires, dissy rotor, cleaned egr and the four passage under the injector, replaced valve cover gasket. Yet i'm still getting to same issue.(when its 4k its like it hits a cut off or something because it seem like it has the power to go the full 7k factory redline) anyone out there that had this problem and resolved it?

Have you checked for engine codes? Is this an automatic or manual transmission?

f22b2 03-03-2013 12:48 PM

I don't get any check engine code and it was auto and i converted it to manual

Did this problem happen right after you did the conversion, or right after any service/repairs?

It had the problem since i got the car

This is a strange problem.

When you did the swap, did you get a new ECU for a MT accord? What is the OEM part number on the ECU?

This may be coming out of left field, but it is simple to do.

I would get some whiteout. On the crank pulley, draw a straight line from the bolt to an edge. Drive the car for a while, then see if you still have straight line. The rubber dampener in the middle could be cracked an allowing slipping.

The factory ecu is a p0b but it was fried and gave me starting issues so I got a p06 but it didnt run right and stalled randomly then I got a pt3 from an accord at the u pull&pay ran a little better but i wasnt satisfied so i got another p0b but all of them gave me the same rev problem. And ill check crank pulley and see.

37820-P0B-A01 is the OEM part number on an ECU for a LX with a manual transmission.

37820-P0B-A51 is the ECU for a LX with an automatic transmission.

Which one do you have?

f22b2 03-04-2013 07:16 PM

I have the auto 37820-p0b-a51

Since you did the conversion to the manual transmission, you need the manual transmission ECU.
