95 accord ex - ABS light question

I am looking at a 95 Accord with 69k miles. It appears to be in great shape especially for a Michigan car. Minor rust towardsthe rear side of the rear wheel well area.

Only problem is ABS light is on. Per owner, this started when the right front wheel well splash guard came loose (may have scraped on to something) and got pulled off. Could it be that the ABS speed sensor/wire may have been knocked off its place? I did not look closely. I tried testing the ABS on a dirt road but could not tell if it was working.

Any thoughts on this? Also, what would you pay for this car?

What trouble code does it have stored?

i'm sorry but I am only looking to buy this car so have no info other than the symptoms I see and what the owner told me. They are the orig owners. I did search in the forum about abs and am now hoping that its just the sensor at the axle thats bad. Based on the owners story of what happened, its possible the sensor got jarred or something and its either out of place or disconnected.

I called the dealer and the sensoe only (rt side) is $150!!!

Well if the ABS light is on, skidding on a dirt road won't prove anything because the system won't activate as long as the ABS light is on.

A rust bucket from yankee land might be worth $2000 in this part of the country; ya pays yer money and takes yer chances.

any car is worth "whatever the market will bear"
